This is truly profound to see — the year of 2011 earthquakes plotted out on a orthographic (globe) map — ANIMATED WITH SOUND INTENSITY for each earthquake!!

many thanks to youtube user : oilcansam for informing me of this..

and even MORE thanks to the person/people who assembled this data and put it out to the world !!! They should have a medal of honor for doing this ! :

While the FY2D animation on SSEC appears to depict a consistent wobble pattern, it only displays images taken every hour within a 7-hour window.  Above is an animated 24-hr compilation of these images.  Although the Figure 8 Pattern is not entirely obvious from this perspective, the push on the N. Pole when the Sun is rising over the Pacific at 18:30 UTC is quite evident, as well as the rebound 12 hours later at 06:30 UTC.  The sudden cloud cover change at 10:30 UTC is due to the animation starting over again, returning to the beginning of the loop.

Magnetic Field From the Sun Across the Solar System

by Andy on Mar.14, 2011, under Binary Star System

The Magnetic Field We Observe On Earth Originates From the Sun

The Sun is the source of the magnetic field we feel on Earth. The field from the North pole of the Sun oscillates through the Solar System forming giant donut rings of ever increasing size but lower strength, the further we are from the Sun. It is this magnetic field that determines the placement of the planets.

It is the motion of the Solar System through the magnetic field of the galaxy that drives the motion of the planets. And in turn it is the motion of the planets through the Sun’s magnetic field that drives the rotation of the planets.

The above diagram shows a simplistic illustration of the Sun’s magnetic field across the Solar System. Of course if we are in a binary star system, there are in fact 2 main magnetic field sources influencing the planets. As the planets are all much closer to the Sun, it is the Sun that provides the dominant magnetic and gravitational field. However the second source (the Black Sun) provides a constant and perhaps predictable disturbance to what would otherwise be a very stable system.

As our Solar System approaches periapsis with the Black Sun, the disturbances to planets is so severe that a crustal displacement or pole shift can occur.

USGS Live Internet Seismic Server Service Suspended

by Andy on Mar.14, 2011, under Earthquakes and Alignments

Has the USGS LISS Service Been Suspended?

Approximately 16 hours after the massive 9.0 earthquake struck off the East Coast of Japan, the United States Geological Survey appeared to have stopped updating the world wide seismic data for their public Live Internet Seismic Server Service.

What is even more strange is they appear to be manually overwriting the data from the automated seismic server network system!

It appears the seismic data is still being published by the automated system, however it is quickly replaced with the same snap shot of data timestamped “Fri Mar 11 13:51:34 MST 2011?.

Why would they do this?

Sometimes they are a little slow at overwriting the new data with old.

Here is some of the data that was briefly on the LISS website before being deleted.

The data is from Lhasa, Tibet, China. The time stamp is GMT

Approximately 3 hours after the earthquake struck Japan.

Approximately 6 hours after the earthquake.

Approximately 12 hours after the earthquake.

Approximately 22 hours after the earthquake.

Approximately 33 hours after the earthquake.

Approximately 40 hours after the earthquake.

Approximately 58 hours after the earthquake.

Update: They have finally started publishing more recent seismographs as of midday on Monday, March 14th, MST.

Japan Magnitude 9.0 Earthquake March 11 2011

by Andy on Mar.13, 2011, under Earthquakes and Alignments

Is there is a policy to understate and downgrade all earthquakes unless the damage is severe enough that they need to state the numbers closer to their actual values?

The mega quake off the East coast that generated a massive tsunami was first rated by the USGS as a 7.9 and later upgraded to a 8.9 Japan’s Meteorological Agency have rated it as a 9.0

One thing that is certain and that is that the earthquake off Japan’s East coast and resulting tsunami, was tragically devastating.

Live Internet Seismic Server Service Suspended?

The seismographs around the world were black for at least 18 hours after this mega quake and certainly for much longer. The data is normally updated automatically every 30 minutes!!

Unfortunately the USGS stopped updating their service on “Fri Mar 11 13:51:34 MST 2011? : Live Internet Seismic Server

Does this earthquake fit with any alignment patterns observed for other recent big earthquakes?

The Moon was not directly in line with Orion but about 2 days ahead of that alignment. So at first glance it would seem to not fit the pattern observed so far for many of the large earthquakes in the past 10 years.

However the Moon is in almost the exact same position as the magnitude 7.7 earthquake off Kepulauan Mentawai region Indonesia October 22 2010 and the magnitude 8.1 earthquake North of Macquarie Island on December 23rd 2004. That is within 1 hour over a period of 30 days or half a degree.

Magnitude 8.9 – Near the East Coast of Honshu, JAPAN, 2011 March 11 at 05:46:23 UTC

In the top left part of the image you can see the position of the Earth relative to the Sun as it approaches the position for the Northern hemisphere’s  Spring Equinox.

The bottom left part of the image shows the position of the Moon relative to the Earth from the same perspective.

In the top right shows the Moon as it would appear from 100,000 km above the Earth. The only reason I choose to zoom in on the Moon was to make it easier to see the Moon as it passes the Pleiades.

The bottom left image shows the surface of the Earth as it would be seen from the Moon.

Magnitude 7.7 Kepulauan Mentawai Indonesia

Magnitude 7.7 – Kepulauan Mentawai Region, INDONESIA 2010 October 25 14:42:22 UTC

This earthquake also resulted in an Earth wobble, sending the world seismographs black for several hours.

Magnitude 8.1 – North of Macquarie Island

Magnitude 8.1 – North of Macquarie Island 2004 December 23 14:59:03 UTC

This massive earthquake is largely forgotten about as it fortunately occurred near a remote subantarctic island located in the Southern Ocean, approximately half way between Australia and Antarctica. It was followed 3 days later by the tragic Sumatra magnitude 9.0 earthquake and resulting tsunami.

Perhaps after these big quakes, the resulting wobble is the Earth readjusting its tilt closer to the new position of the Black Sun?

Recently the mainstream has been publishing stories about the changes in Earth’s magnetic field. Apparently magnetic North is currently moving at a rate of 1 degree every 5 years.

If you take the view that the tilt in the Earth axis and the Earth’s magnetic field are both due to an external magnetic field. Then that is yet more evidence that the rate of precession is accelerating. Unfortunately the adjustment is not a smooth continuum but a series of short sharp shocks.

Earthquake Energy 2011 1st Quarter

by Andy on Mar.12, 2011, under Earthquake Energy Monthly Chart

These charts display the frequency of earthquakes at various magnitudes day by day for the first quarter of 2011.

The total earthquake energy each day is calculated using the Richter and Gutenberg seismic energy method. Data source is the USGS

Energy = 10^(11.8+1.5*Magnitude)

The x axis displays energy in Joules x 10^-21.

The total earthquakes on each day is based on the data from the USGS which includes earthquakes over magnitude 2.5 within the US and 3.5 worldwide.

On the following charts the yellow line represents the total earthquake energy each day, displayed as a linear value. Note that the linear values for earthquakes over magnitude 8 have been artificially reduced. This is necessary so that earthquakes of higher magnitudes will fit on the charts without completely dwarfing all other data.

The red line indicates a logarithmic value using the same Richter and Gutenberg seismic energy method. However the log value has been multiplied by a factor 100 and a value of 525 subtracted to keep it within a readable range on the chart. The log values are not intended to be read directly from the chart but are there to emphasize the fluctuations in energy released by earthquakes each day.
